My story

My journey into holistic health started in my mid-teens. I was experiencing issues with my digestion and skin, and had irregular and uncomfortable menstrual cycles. I was diagnosed with and had surgery for scoliosis. I was also challenged with depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Medical assistance provided temporary relief only, if any, and I started to do my own research to understand what was going on with my body, and why I felt unhappy.

Through my research I started to learn how to take care of myself. I started spending time in silence, learning to listen to my needs. I began using food as medicine, and found support and inspiration through the system of Ayurveda. I got rid of a lot of things in my house that I no longer needed. I built routines for self-care, replaced toxic bathroom items with healthier ones, and expanded my mind through reading books and watching self-development videos online.

Gradually, I began feeling more at ease in my body. The depression started lifting, and I built stronger connections with myself and other people. My digestion became stronger, and I enjoyed eating a larger variety of foods. My period, which was gone for 14 months at the longest, eventually started coming every month – each time met with a celebration.

I saw how stressful thoughts negatively impacted my body, and vice versa – how taking poor care of my body had negative consequences for my mental and emotional state. I gained a newfound respect for what it means to live well as a human.

I am grateful to have had the support of others on this journey, who have shared their experience and wisdom with me. I wish to extend my support to you, as I invite you to go on this healing journey with me.
